Dimensions
The outside size of the box and its corner radius.
All sizes are outside sizes, base and lid included. The corner radius matters most: the hinge has to bend round it, so a small radius needs a softer hinge. Bend Analysis checks it for you.

- The outside width of the box. For a polygon it is the distance across the flats.
- Depth10 mm or more · step 1 mm
- The outside depth of the box, front to back.
- Diameter20 mm or more · step 1 mm
- The outside diameter of a cylinder box.
- Height10 mm or more · step 1 mm
- The outside height of the box, base and lid included.
- Radius1 mm or more · step 0.5 mm
- The radius of each corner. The hinge wraps round it, so a smaller radius needs a softer hinge; Bend Analysis tells you if it will crack.
- Sides3 to 12 · step 1
- How many sides a polygon box has.
- Tab flats3 to 16 · step 1
- A cylinder has short flat stretches at the base where the tabs sit. More flats give more tabs and a rounder look.
