Hinge Box
Dividers
Strips that split the inside of a box into compartments, locking together where they cross.
- Across width: strips that run front to back. Across depth: strips that run left to right. 2 and 1 make six compartments.
- Each strip is cut to the inside of the wall where it stands, so dividers in round and polygon boxes follow the wall too.
- Where strips cross they lock with half-lap slots: front-to-back strips are slotted from the top, left-to-right ones from the bottom. Slide them together, then push the grid in.
- Tabs on the bottom edge go into slots in the base. Over a support ring, the strip's ends step up onto the ring.
- Height 0 makes them as tall as fits: just under a fixed lid, or under the lip of a removable one. Compartments narrower than 12 mm are left out.
