Hinge Box
Lid options
A flat top wider than the box, a finger or knob hole, and the lip under a removable lid.
- Overhang: the lid reaches this far past the walls all round, so a flat top has an edge to lift by. 0 keeps it flush with the box.
- Hole: a finger hole (about 22 mm) to lift a removable lid, or a knob hole sized for your knob's screw. A hole too big for the lid is left out, and Checks says so.
- Lip under the lid (removable lids): a second plate that sits inside the walls and keeps the lid in place. Turn it off for a lid that simply rests on top.
- Tissue and coin slots: a long slot with round ends along the box's long side, sized to the box (tissue) or 32 × 4 mm (coin). Set its length and width; a slot too big for the lid is left out.
- Score the lip on the lid: marks where the lip goes, so it lines up when you glue it. Put the scored side down.
