Hinge Box
Cut-out patterns
Lattice, floral, Moroccan quatrefoil and other patterns cut right through the lid and walls.
- Pick a pattern and where it goes: the lid, the walls or both. On the walls it fills the flat stretches between the hinge zones.
- Pattern size sets how far the pattern repeats; Bar width is the narrowest wood left between holes. Keep bars at least the material thickness in plywood.
- Holes stay clear of the tab slots, the lid's opening and the hinge cuts. With a lid lip, the holes go through the lip too, so you can see through.
- The Boxes generator has the same patterns for finger-jointed boxes, trays and the book box.
