Key Holder generator
The Key Holder generator makes a wall board for keys, leads, bags or mugs: any of 18 board shapes, text and a motif engraved, scored or raised in a second material, and a row of hooks.
Hooks are cut from the same sheet and slot through the board (rounded J, square or ball-end profiles), or the board gets holes for wooden dowel pegs or pilot holes for brass cup hooks. Names can be engraved above each hook, a shelf with brackets can be added on top, and keyhole slots hang it on two hidden screws.
Board
The board that hangs on the wall: its shape and size.
Text
Words on the board, with an optional motif beside them.
Text style
Fine-tune the lettering: capitals, slant, width, stroke weight, a curve or a full circle, and stencil bridges.
Hooks
Laser-cut hooks that slot through the board, or holes for wooden pegs or screw-in hooks.
Shelf
A small shelf along the top for post, phones or sunglasses.
Wall mounting
How the board hangs.
Second material
The material of raised letters: mirror or coloured acrylic, or a contrasting wood.

Material, layers and sheet
Set your material's thickness and kerf first: the kerf is applied once to every outline and hole. Engraving is filled on its own layer, which the SVG puts first so it runs before the cuts.

- Bends the text along an arc: positive values arch it up like a rainbow, negative values curve it down like a smile.

- Sets the text round a circle of this diameter, reading clockwise over the top like a badge; a long text widens the circle so it never overlaps. 0 uses Curve instead.

- Breaks the closed middles of letters such as O, A and B with bridges this wide, so text cut through a board keeps them. 0 turns it off.
